SHANNON STEENS CPT,CPI,CCMA
Phlebotomy Instructor
Ms. Steens has been in the healthcare field for over a decade. She started her laboratory career with Quest Diagnostics gaining experience in phlebotomy and laboratory testing. She has also had the opportunity to work with specialty labs focusing on Hematology/Oncology and Rheumatology collecting specimen samples and running tests on testing analyzers.
Shannon Steens has been teaching with knowledge, enthusiasm and the joy for what she does professionally. We can’t say enough about the educational accolades of Ms. Steens!
SHAUNA BRAXTON RN, BSN
Phlebotomy Instructor
Shauna began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and shortly thereafter she became a Registered Nurse. She’s worked for Level 1 trauma centers such as Orlando Regional Medical Center and Advent Health Orlando. From the beginning Shauna has also worked as a travel nurse throughout the pandemic, taking care of countless COVID patients.
In her nursing role, she has mentored, supervised, and precepted incoming nurses. In a time where many things are a trend, Shauna is the one constant. With her passion for the healthcare profession, and her empathetic nature as a motivating force, she remains unwavering in her capabilities and impassioned for the practice.
